Qatar is the wealthiest country in the world with a diversified and financially stable economy. It has the highest income per capita income (PPP) in the world which as of 2015 is US$ 146,000.

Qatar has a liberal tax regime. There is no personal income tax and corporate tax on foreign companies is levied at a low rate of 10%, and import duty tax is 5%. LARGEST EXPORTER OF LNG

Qatar has the world’s third largest natural gas reserves and is the largest supplier of liquefied natural gas with proven reserves exceeding 24 trillion cubic meters, or about 13.3% of the world total.

DUAL LEGAL SYSTEM

The legal framework of Qatar is based on the civil law system. However, there are two corporate legal systems. The domestic corporate entities are governed by the Commercial Companies Law and related commercial regulations. Whereas, business entities established within the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) are governed by the English common law.
